LONDON Transport will stop running the Hampstead Garden Suburb dial-a-ride service at the end of February, as predicted in CM last week.
The precise details of the replacement service were still to be worked out, an LT spokesman said this week. But thought the existing Ford Transit minibuses would be retained to run on a fixed route. The report commissioned on the dial-a-ride by the GLC suggested that if a fixed route system were adopted it could still he possible for diversions to be made to set down passengers.
