SEALINK carried a recorc 170,000 roll-on/roll-off freigh vehicles to and from the Con tinent in 1975—an 11 per ceni increase over 1974.

Headlight quiz

IN an effort to enlighten drivers still in the dark over when dipped headlights should be used, the RAC has issued a useful guide on the subject.

The tips spell out the road and weather conditions in which dipped headlights are necessary, such as fog, mist or falling snow, heavy rain or where there is considerable spray; periods of unnatural darkness by day, and in areas where street lighting is poor.
