A NEW service to distribution managers was unveiled last week. A BRS computer "package," called Pathfinder can quickly and accurately estimate the number and size of the vehicles required for a given delivery area—normally a county or region. It can also show the effect of adding to or subtracting from a depot network and demonstrates the effect of speed or time constraints on the number of vehicles needed for specific operations.
