nURING November last, commer

cial-vehicle exports reached 9,650 units, valued at £6.2m., figures which showed a slight improvement on those for the previous month.

The average weekly output during November was 5,035 units, or 445 fewer than a year ago. The month's total production was 20,140, of which 8,274 were for overseas and 11,866 for the home market, Goods vehicles, road haulage tractors and special types totalled 19,487, made up of 8,411 under 15-cwt. carrying capacity, 10,105 from 15 cwt. to 6 tons, and 971 over 6 tons.

The number of passenger vehicles produced was 587, of which 428 were single-deck and 142 double-deck motorbuses, and 17 were trolleybuses. SixtysiY battery-electries were produced.

In the first 11 months of the year, 219,238 vehicles came off the production lines, of which 116,126 were for export and 103,112 for the home market. Goods vehicles, road haulage tractors and special types accounted for 210,473 (96,910 under 15 cwt., 102.000 over 15 cwt. and under 6 fons, and 11,563 over 6 tons).

During the 11 months, 8,119 passenger vehicles were produced (6,266 single-deck and 1,760 double-deck motorbuses, and 93 trolleybuses). Battery-electric vehicles totalled 646 and pedestrian-controlled types, 836. Works trucks output for the 10 months, January-October, was 6,012.

Excluding dumpers and industrial trucks, 10,069 commercial vehicles were exported during November, the value of exports, including dumpers and industrial trucks, being £6,772,377.

Other than those given in the table below, exports for the first 11 months of the year included 3,314 used commercial vehicles (£1,660,276). 100,887 tractors (£42,115,750), and parts and accessories to the value of £74,898,037.
