RENAULT TRt. (...KS will market a Renault-badged version of the next-generation Nissan Cabstar forward-control light truck.
The Spanish-built trucks will appear in the first half of 2007. In terms of weight ranges, the new Cabstar will fall between the Master and Mascott.
The current Cabstar, sold as the Atlas in some markets, runs from 301) to 5,600kg. Renault already sells a rebadged version of the Cabstar as part of its Korean joint venture with Samsung. lbe relationship between Renault and Nissan also includes Volvo (see diagram).
Nissan already provides the impressive three-litre engine that powers the Mascott and larger Master models. Other than the engine, the technology flow between Renault and Nissan has been in the other direction.
Nissan already markets rebranded versions of the Renault Kangoo,Trafic and Master ranges. built by Renault Vans, part of the car manufacturing company.
