• Caldaire subsidairy West Riding of Wakefield is under threat of industrial action because it had decided to employ RCO contract cleaners instead of its own staff at its Belle Isle depot.
Over 200 engineers and cleaners voted in favour of action after the company issued redundancy notices to 20 cleaners. The ballot stopped short of a strike and West Riding management is now waiting to see what form the protest will take.
