This states that commercial vehicles with side windows, a rear door and rear seats are classifiable as people transporters and are therefore taxed at the 2.5% level attributed to cars.
• Worldwide sales of Mercedes trucks increased by 18% last year to £7.14 billion, and truck output was up by 10%. The strong performance from the truck division helped offset difficult trading conditions in other markets. Car sales, for example, were up by only 1%
