• Perkins Engines is to fit fuel-injection pumps and injectors from the Stanadyne Diesel Systems Division of Windsor, Connecticut, USA, in selected engines. This is the first commercial relationship between the two companies.

Fuel-injection system products to be supplied are Standyne's Model DB2 pumps and 21mm hole-type injectors. The systems will initially be fitted to Perkins 4.236 and 3.1524 engine models destined for worldwide generator set markets.
