CM HAS received complaints from hauliers about Ilford-based forwarder H&G European Ltd.
There was apparently no manager running the company as CM closed for press on Tuesday, and our reporter was unable to contact the principals.
As there is no manager, the company is not giving out loads at present. The chief owners appear to be based in the United States.
Staff at H&G in Ilford told CM that the company was owned by H&G Industries Inc of Dallas, Texas.
The commercial library at the United States Embassy has no record of such a company, however.
A company of that name exists in New Jersey. It makes brushes and denies having any European subsidiary or associate in Britain.
