TRANSPORT Minister Not man Fowler's assessment a the Foster Committee report i now almost complete, and h will publish the Government' response soon.
But he wouldn't commi himself to implementing th Committee's recommendatioi that an assessment should 11 made of the number of house where rooms fronting on t( streets were evacuated as result of lorry nuisance.
Research was already car ried out at the Transport am Road Research Laboratory tc assess noise levels and othei lorry-associated problems, Mi Fowler informed David Altor (Liberal, Edge Hill).
