FODENS have taken deliver of an ITT 3280 visual displal system at its Sandbach Head quarters.
Valued at over £60,000, th4 system has 30 ITT screei printers and controllers an< has been installed in place o an IBM 3270 system operatinl Fodens' IMS databo: management system.
The system has been chose] to develop the FONS or Fodei on-line programming systerr and screens are located various departments through out the factory, such as th design shop and repair shop.
Each of these updates th information on the centre computer databank and thu: regardless of what configui ation a customer wants, th required information can b checked.
The final specification ca be put together in a half working day and so respow to the customer is faster.
