Mercedes-Benz vehicles are in use in 170 countries throughout the world. For decades we have been gathering experience, in areas from the equator to the poles. Our knowledge goes back to the beginning of motoring, because our company is as old as the motor vehicle itself.
In 1886 Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz introduced the first two petro driven engines to the world. Only ten years later, Karl Benz brought out the first buses and Gottlieb Daimler the first trucks. In 1923, Benz and Daimler developed the first diesel-engined truck.
We have utilised this experience to improve our products: perhaps this is another reason for our success.
