USTOMS officers at most of ritain's ports are due to go on trike at 23.00 hours tonight Friday) in support of the pubc employees' pay claim.
The men, members of the :ivil and Public Services Lssociation and the Society of :ivil and Public Servants were ue to close down the Adance Data Processing of TDrms on Wednesday and all learance will be manual. A spokesman for the Customs and Excise authorities said that delays are inevitable with drivers coming back from Europe and coach parties coming into the country.
But he warned "no one can rely on entering the country unchallenged," the Customs and Excise has contingency plans for the 24 hour dispute but it is not revealing what they are.
