7-Gger.brown fa rbi.co.uk THE ROAD Haulage Association (RHA) says it will continue to object to new 0-licence applications from any operator that it believes does -not meet the requirements for good repute".

A public inquiry was due to be held before TC Sarah Bell (pictured) in Bristol on 14 December, to consider disciplinary action against Nicholas Wheller the former boss of Nick Wheller Transport, which entered liquidation earlier this year and the transport manager's repute, as part of a new application for five vehicles and five trailers. Earlier this month. Taymix Transport withdrew its application for a new 0-licence following an objection from the RHA.

A public inquiry into Taymix, and related company Translact, was held in February following a fatal accident in 2007 when two people were killed in a collision with a Translact vehicle. Both hauliers' 0-licences were revoked.
