• From 7 November, drivers who receive penalty points have 28 days to send their licence to the DVLA for endorsement, rather than 12 months.
• The DVLA sends two reminder letters to the registered keeper of the vehicle before revoking the licence after 28 days.
• Drivers must notify the DVLA of a change of address failure to do so can result in a £1,000 fine.
