• Haulier Stan Robinson is about to launch his own fan club which will operate "on similar lines to Eddie Stobart's".
From the beginning of 2000 everyone who joins the club will receive a quarterly newsletter, a badge and a car sticker. A range of merchandise will be available and a club web site is being launched.
Robinson says the idea was sparked after the company was voted Haulier of the Year last year. "That brought us to the forefront," he adds. "The profile I've now got has surprised me."
