It is in the same series as Preserved Buses by the same author, British Lorries 19001945 and Roads and Rails of London by Charles F. Klapper.
In the main it is well illustrated and catalogues the genealogical details of 350 lorries, vans and fire engines. I don't pretend to be an historic vehicle enthusiast but I can see at a glance that this book is essential reference reading for those who are.
The 1919 Walker Model K operated by Harrods may have found difficulty coping with today's loads on an 8ft chassis with 4hp, but it went out of production in 1922.
Another name fast disappearing from the scene is Albion and this book bears historical accounts of 25 models that the enthusiast will feast on. This is
