RUSSIAN tippers—the Belaz-540 (27 tons) and Maz-500 tons)--are being used in Western Germany, Sweden and Italy, according to Soviet News. These are the first heavy diesel-engined lorries to be produced in the USSR, which exported 15,000 petrol-engined lorries last year.
