A 9+-MILE diversion of the Al9 trunk road including a by-pass of Stockton-on-Tees and a new river crossing has been announced by the Minister of Transport. This brings to more than £20m. the total value of improvements now in progress or being prepared for Tees-side and its trunk road connections.
