AMONO important grants listed this week are five more A vehicles for Hanson Haulage (Leeds), Ltd., in Yorkshire, and four for R. Read, Longhope, in the Western traffic area.
Applications include four tankers on B licence by Lancashire Oil Distributors, Ltd., to carry for Jet Petroleum, Ltd., and A variations by ,British Railways, New St., Birmingham, and E. W. Badman and Sons, Bristol, each for the addition of three vehicles, In the Northern area, Siddle C. Cook seek to add six articulated heavies to their A licence and have also made a shortterm application for four similar vehicles. Sunter Bros„ Ltd., have made a similar short-tem A application.
In Scotland Bell and Co., (Transport). Ltd., have applied to switch eight vehicles from contract to public A licence and M. Allan (Carriers), Ltd., have acted similarly with four vehicles. J. and R. Wright want to add five vehicles to their A licence.
Conways Sand and Gravel, Ltd., have applied in the East Midlands for a new
B licence covering 52 vehicles to carry road and building materials.
