FOLLOWING the slump in registra1 'lions of new commercial vehicles in August, the total for September rose by 3,942 to 22,742. But this figure was still far below the highest monthly total for the year-31,219 in March—and was less than the monthly average of 25,136. The total for the first three quarters of the year was 223,830, compared with 197,108 for the corresponding period in 1959. This represents an increase in registrations over the year of 26,722.
