MEWS that a claim by London Trans' port bus inspectors for wage increases of up to 16 per cent. for different grades would not be met by the Executive last week led to threats of strike action if the demands were not met by negotiation or reference to an industrial court.
It is understood that the Executive offered an increase which would maintain differentials, adjusted in accordance with recent increases to platform staff.
