D OAD transport is to replace goods

and passenger services on the County Down Railway, except on the route from Belfast to Bangor. Services are to be withdrawn in stages. The first to be dealt with will be between Comber and Newcastle, Ballynahinch Junction and Ballynahinch, and Downpatrick and Ardglass. Road transport is expected to take over on these sections on January 16.

tion in Montevideo. known as AMDET, has ordered 30 A.E.C. (Ado):. Regal Mark III single-decker chassis. Ado coaches are already extensively used on long-distance services in Uruguay.

Two big Brazilian operators have ordered 28 A.E.C. chassis and Sandholm Industrimaker, Helsinki, has

ordered 10 similar machines. These will bring-up to 46, the total of A.E.C.chassis purchased since 1948 by the Finnish concern.
