• Multipart is looking to increase its share of the £1,000 million European truck parts market. It has signed letters of intent on a marketing deal with 1TAP NV — the Belgian commercial vehicle parts wholesaling company which is a member of the Willy Van Doorne Group.
ITAP will sell Multipart truck and bus parts in north western Europe, from next February, although Multipart will exhibit at Auto Mechanica in September this year.
Multipart and ITAI' plan to work together to develop a range of braking components to fit continental commercial vehicles. It is anticipated that these parts will be offered in the UK under the Multipart brand name. Britain's commercial vehicle parts market is worth around £400 million a year.
