ot Contract hire company Charthire Services has won a £2 million contract to take over shoe retailer Stylo Barratt's national distribution.
The deal is initially for four years and involves the distribution of 5 million pairs of shoes a year to Stylo Barratt's 350 retail outlets in the UK. Charthire is to absorb Stylo Barratt's existing fleet of 23 16 tonne Seddon Atkinson box vans and gradually replace them with demountable equipment. Daf 2100s are to be used. All the vehicles will be based at Stylo Barrates central warehouse in Bradford, Yorkshire.
