At the same time as it has recommended the use of multigrade oils for its A, R and C-type power units, The British Motor Corporation has extended the engine-oil change interval for vehicles fitted with these engines from 3,000 to 6,000 miles. B.M.C. emphasizes, however, that if multigrade oil is not used, the interval remains unchanged at 3,000 miles.
In cases of operation under abnormal conditions, such as extremes of temperature, short runs, excessive dust and so forth, owners are advised to consult their distributors for advice as to the optimum interval.
