rTHE September issue of the Transport I. and General Workers Record says that the Union are constantly trying to persuade the associations representing hauliers to enter into agreement on terms for the operation of heavy vehicles at 30 m.p.h. similar to those negotiated with British Road Services. It is taking longer," says the Record, "but we are determined that our members will not suffer as the result of the introduction of this new piece of permissive legislation.
