Still Fewer Horses.

The agricultural returns just issued by the Ministry of Agriculture indicate a further reduction in the number of horses on the farms of this country on June 4th last. The number was 1,077,200, as against 1,128,800 last year, A decrease of 51,600, or 4.6 per

The total number of horses used for agricultural purposes is reduced in practically every county, the number being 746,200 as against 760,600 last year, or a decrease of 14,400. This is due very largely to the greater use of the motor in various forms of agriculture.
