ot every haulier would immediately welcome the sight of policemen waving cheerily from the cab of his vehicle — the thought that this week's bumper issue of CM had tipped the overloading scales might cross his mind.
But in this case he need not worry. The grinning lawmen are PCs Ian Chawner and Keith Nicholson, the crew of this ERF 6x2 tractor unit which set out earlier this month to deliver 24.5 tonnes of grain to Moscow as a gift from Hampshire grain dealers.
The tractor was loaned by KL Commercials of Southampton.
