• From 5 May K-prefix select registrations will be sold by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency through franchised commercial vehicle dealers.
Operators buying new lorries, vans or coaches can take the three letters of their choice and any of 51 numbers to create a select registration.
Prices start at £235, and the DVLA still has some select J registrations which, from 5 May, will be available from £145.
