Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THIS YEAR'S RHA tipping convention at Harrogate is to have the largest exhibition of vehicles held there yet. Manufacturers, anxious to improve on the encouraging up-trend in truck sales, have pulled out all the stops to attract buyers.

In the eight-wheel market Foden have already introduced the S83 30-tonner. Apart from a list of impressive developments to Improve vehicle ride and handling, the S83 also incorporates features designed to reduce and/or ease vehicle maintenance (see page 20).

Early indications are that the 6x4 on/off-site tipper will be prominent as will be vehicles from Scania, Volvo, MercedesBenz and the American Mack company (left).

Moving down the weight scale Mercedes-Benz is taking this chance for the first exhibition airing for the "New Generation" -16-ton rigids.

;Ford is also showing 4x2 tippers, from the D-Series range, and Chrysler will be represented in this category by an RG 16-based -416-ton Commando. At the heavy artic end most manufacturers will have their Nlatest models on show.

The RHA tipping convention will be open from Friday, April 30 to Sunday, May 2 inclusive. See CM next week for a preview.
