MR. ROBERT DICKSON has been appointed to the Fife area on behalf of the Scottish Motor Traction Company's sales and service department, Lochee Road, Dundee.

It has been announced by the council of the Institute of Transport that SIR ALEXANDER GIBB, G.B.E., C.B., F.R.S., the well-known consulting engineer and bridge builder, has been elected president of the Institute of Transport for the year commencing October 1 next.

F. BRYCE COOPER. MR. J. ROWLANDS, of •Southport, has been appointed vicechairman.

MR. B. G. WHITE has been appointed a director of the Devon General Omnibus and Touring Co., Ltd., in place of Mn. P. M. Rossmss, who has resigned.

MR. W. A. Atr.c.ocus has resigned his position as sales director of the Westminster Motor Supplies, Ltd., to become managing director of Apex Tyre Supplies, Ltd., 123, Queen's Road, London, S.E.15.

MR. T. G. ROSE., M.I.Mcch.E., M.I.P.E., F.I.T.A-, has been appointed general director of the National Institute of IndtiStrial Psychology, Aidwych House, London, W.C.2, to collaborate with DR. C. S. MyERs, Cl-I.E., F.R.S., the principal.

MR. C. G. PAGE has been appointed to take charge of the department of secretary and treasurer of the London Passenger Transport Board, with the title of secretary and chief legal adviser. He will also continue his duties as Parliamentary officer. The appointment follows the 'recent death of Mr. J. S. Anderson, who was secretary, treasurer and solicitor to the Board.

MR. W. CORNES, whose portrait appears on this page, has recently been appointed by Eodens, Ltd., to look after its interests in Cumberland, Westmorland and Durham. This ground was previously covered by MR. A. MOTTERSHAW, who has been transferred to Lancashire. Mr. Carnes has been associated with the Foden concern for many years, having served his apprenticeship with the company.
