Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Business is picking up after the summer break, says Charlie Wright at Doncaster's Commercial Vehicle Auctions.

After the traditional summer dip CVA is getting back to business. The first sale of the month on 7 September saw business pick up, but Charlie Wright says 21 September's sale should really see business back on form.

As the closing date for each sale approaches Wright reports that more people are submitting stock at the last minute. While this late business always produces decent stock for auction Wright believes that earlier notification would give CVA a better chance to market the vehicles. In the run-up to a Wednes day sale anything up to 100 vehicles might arrive at the last minute.

Exporters continue to eke out the last of the Daf 85 six-wheelers, although Wright believes most must have been bought up and been shipped by now. in general, the 3-Series Scania is performing well, but at the last auction interest cooled and two went unsold, which is unusual.

Wright points out that one major buyer was missing from the auction, so it might be too early to say overall interest has dropped for what has been a sought-after product. •
