• A Harrogate plant hire firm has been hit by three thefts in less than a month.
On 14 September thieves broke into David Kitchen Plant Hire's locked compound and took a Leyland Constructor (reg B714 RWD). They cut through the gate lock, broke into the vehicle and removed the steering wheel clamp before driving the six-wheeler away. A similar Constructor (reg E707 WAT) was stolen in identical circumstances eight days earlier.
Last month thieves took a Renault-badged Dodge 7.5-tonner (reg D694 VCX).
