• Ferrylink Freight Service has added a second ship to its Sheerness-Vlissingen route. The Ferry/ink Schelde has room for 63 trailers; it allows Ferrylink to offer night and day sailings each day and has air conditioned cabins for drivers.
Sailing times from Sheerness are 22:00hrs and 11:00hrs with return crossing from Vlissingen at 23:00hrs and 11:30hrs local time.
Port authority Mersey Docks and Harbour Company began operating the route with a single ship, the Ferrylink Medway, on 8 July after Olau Line withdrew its service following an internal crewing dispute.
