Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Vehicle Inspectorate is to close its HGV testing station at Kilmarnock because of subsidence.

Operators who have booked a test at Kilmarnock will be contacted and offered a different test location with priority given to those whose test certificates expire this month. A temporary centre is to be set up in Kilmarnock, but the VI warns that vehicles may have to be diverted to Glasgow (Bishopbridge). The Kilmarnock office will be open for another two weeks, after which staff will be relocated to other offices in the town. The present phone number will remain in use and the HGV driving test area will not be affected.

Operators with problems should contact the Kilmarnock district office on (0563) 24312.
