Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Plans by Silver Arrow Services to build Norfrig reefer bodies under licence in this country (revealed exclusively ii Commercial Motor last week) will include several new designs adapted for Britain.

Most exciting of these is a reefer body designed for high street deliveries and dairy applications. It features a new door design which allows full side access to the body. Silver Arrow managing director Alan Olding says the design "does away with tracking and allows better flow of side panels. The system is hinged so you can open one compartment or the whole side."

Olding says the design conforms to ATP Class C, thanks to special hinges which allow the side doors to swing out when opened, but which seal the reefer body when closed.

The first of these bodies mounted on an ERF truck, is being presented to operators at Silver Arrow's Avonmouth premises. Olding says the door technology could be applied to dry freight vans as well, but the company does not plan to build such bodies.

There are also plans to launch a high-cube reefer trailer in this country, called the Step Neck Height Master.

This will feature 2.4m of internal height and a four-metre coupled height. It has been designed to work with what Silver Arrow's sales and marketing director John Bowkett describes as a "sensible" 1,270mm-1,320m (50' to 52") fifth-wheel height.
