THE LATEST battle in the fight for a common transport policy within the EEC drew to a close this week. The EEC's Court of Justice heard final arguments for and against ordering the Council of Ministers to start taking decisions on items like vehicle tax, weights and dimensions, and dipping fuel tanks at borders.
