BRS WESTERN and Lex Wilkinson both report increased business for their contract-hire activities.

Two Bridgwater, Somerset-area firms have signed contract-hire agreements with BRS Western. Willsher and Quick has added a Peugeot pick-up to the DAF 2100 tractive units and semi-trailers already engaged on computer enclosures delivery work from its base at Highbridge.

And Warren Meats, another established contract-hire customer, has added an lveco 79.14 boxvan and a Mercedes-Benz 307D standard van to two Mercedes vans already on hire.

Cow and Gate baby foods has added eight vehicles to the 18 it already has on contract hire from Lex Wilkinson's Systemline distribution service. Lex already provides total management, warehousing, order assembly, computerised stock holding and distribution for Cow and Gate.
