SOUTH Yorkshire PTE has announced its 1979 bus replacement programme, which involves an order for 120 double-deck buses worth about £4m.
The order is split between 60 Willowbrook-bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68 with Voith D851 transmission and 60 MCW Metrobuses.
SYPTE already has a number of AN 680 and Metrobuses on order for delivery this year, but as yet has only operated a prototype Metrobus demonstration.
