• Having for a number of years entered its drivers in the CM-sponsored LDoY competitions, Total Oil Great Britain Ltd has staged its first own "house" contest. On September 17 15 drivers from locally held eliminators met for the finals at the Ministry of Defence MVEE Testing Centre at Chobham, Surrey. Terminals at Bramhall, Killingholme, Nottingham, Purfleet and West Bromwich were represented and Bramhall fielded the winner —Mr Ken Bailey. Second was Mr Ron Plaskitt (Killingholme); third was Mr Graham Watt (Nottingham).
