• The Transport Development Group increased its six-month turnover to 05,364,000 (132.954.000) and its tax-paid profit to £2,563,000 (£2,476,000) for the half-year ended June 30. "The results inevitably reflect the continuing problems which beset the economy as a whole," said Sir Reginald Wilson, chairman, in his interim financial statement.
