The two exhibits on the University stand comprise a U-shaped aluminium tipper body mounted on a Dodge K1050 chassis and a TIR aluminium boxvan based on a Commer chassis. Having a capacity of 10 cu yd the tipper body has a length of 13ft and is elevated by an Edbro 4LNC single-ram gear, the gvw of the chassis being 16 tons. The side panels of the boxvan are of corrugated sheet and it has a one-piece roof of gyp. The vehicle has a gvw rating of 6 metric tonnes.
