John Cocker and Sons (Southport) Ltd, Kew Works, Meols Cop Road, SouthPort. The Cocker company has exhibite demountable bodies of various types at Earl Court since the early post-war days, and thi year one of the concern's three systems i displayed, namely the Kewtainer Mk 1 type which features four removable, manuall operated hydraulic legs that have a tubula extension for inserting into the body fram and can lift up to 12 tons. The interior of th 18ft composite body is fitted with ai hydraulically powered roller floor that cai handle loads up to 800kg.

The second main exhibit is a Cocker 7: Meatvender based on a Bedford 22cw chassis /cowl which is a glassfibre butcher' shop with a steel frame having sliding door and easy-entrance step. It is available as refrigerated body.
