A new Freightbox aluminium van of 775 cu ft capacity, shown mounted on a Leyland Terrier 750 chassis, provides an unladen vehicle weight of 2 tons 19.25cwt and has side panels of ribbed sheet which obviate the necessity for horizontal frame members between the posts. The panels comprise 8aco Pan-al-rib 2 sheets which are no thicker than standard flat sheet.

A shorter 14ft version of the van on a Bedford KD chassis also has a capacity of 710 cu ft and affords an unladen weight of under 3 tons despite the fact that flat panels are employed.
