Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

King Truck Equipment Ltd, Riverside, Market Harborough, Leics.

A new hydraulically operated two-piece gooseneck is shown on the stand connected to a 25 tons payload capacity T025R6 low-loader. Called the Hydroneck, it comprises two pieces pivoted just above the trailer floor. Each section is connected by two hydraulic rams mounted uppermost forming the base line of a triangle with the pivot as its apex. As the hydraulic pistons extend, the vertical distance between pivot and base line decreases so lifting the trailer front edge enabling the trailer to clear, for instance, a hump-back bridge. The converse applies for lowering the platform. The gooseneck is disconnected from the trailer by the normal King method.

A third hydraulic ram called a Stinger is used to lift the gooseneck assembly from the trailer, enabling it to be moved away from the loading approach. When reconnecting, the Stinger is used to align the gooseneck and trailer. The complete operation may be done by one man.

Power for the hydraulic system is obtained either from a pto from the tractive unit or the company offer a power pack that may be located within the gooseneck.

Also on the stand is a two-spring tandem-axle bogie unit which has a capacity of 36 tons at 12 mph and is fitted to 45-60 tons payload capacity low-loaders.
