Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Merriworth (Engineering) Ltd, Eonit Works, Richmer Road, Slade Green, Erith, Kent.

A tandem axle tilt-top semi-trailer plated at 29 tons gross trailer weight and designed either to be carried on the French Railway's kangaroo system or for general haulage is on the stand.

Called the Super Kangaroo, it has special suspension, swing-up bumper and mudguards to allow the trailer to negotiate the steep ramps on and off railway wagons. Also the trailer has a front coupling sphere to which the French shunting tractive units couple for roll-on loading.

Bolster grab-points on the trailer sides allow it to be lifted on and off the wagon by crane.

The tilt which has chamfered top edges to provide adequate railway tunnel clearance covers a superstructure in which the removable pillars fit in self-tightening wedge-shaped sockets: the more vibration the more firmly the pillar is gripped. Yet the joint is claimed easily released when dismantling the body.

Interior width of the semi-trailer is -2.41 metres, allowing metric pallets to be stacked side by side; interior volume is 2335 cu ft. .

A flat-platform semi-trailer is also on the stand. It features directly welded running gear to reduce unladen weight. Tubular cross-members are welded to 19in.-deep I-section side-members through stressdiffusing plates. And rather unusual on this type of trailer, 3.5in .-wide springs are used on the suspension.
