Four examples of the 8cwt Russian Moskvitch 434 van, two vans and two pick-up versions, are on show.

The engine is a four-cylinder in-line unit of 1478 cc, an overhead cam design which produces 80 bhp (SAE). at 5800 rpm; compression ratio is 8.8 to 1. A four-speed synchromesh gearbox transmits the drive via a single-plate diaphragm clutch to the hypoid bevel rear axle.

Front suspension is by coil spring and unequal wishbones and an anti-roll bar is fitted. Rear suspension is by semi-elliptical leaf springs. Double-acting telescopic dampers are fitted to both axles. Self-adjusting drum brakes are used measuring 9in, diameter by 1.5in .-wide all round and power is applied through a vacuum servo unit. Tyre size is 6.40-13 and the van has a wheelbase of 7ft 10in. and an overall length of 13ft 5in. and is 5ft 1in. wide. Entrance to the 58 cu ft load space is via a two-piece tailgate, the upper half of which is glazed and hinges upwards, the lower half hinging downwards.

Standard equipment includes a bulkhead between seat and load space, no-draught ventilators to.the front doors, two-,speed fresh air heater, radiator shutter, towing hook, mut flaps and a 22-piece tool kit including greasE gun and inspection lamp.
