Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

c /a American Motors Corporation (GB) Ltd, Chiswick Flyover, Great West Road, London W4 5QR.

American Motors return to the Commercial Motor Show after a long absence with a display of four Jeep models.

The Jeep Truck model is a bonneted four-wheel-drive, pick-up truck, it is available in two wheelbases, 120 and 132in., and has three engine options. A six-cylinder petrol engine is available giving 110 and 150 bhp together with a 5.9-litre 175 bhp petrol V8. Payload and body capacity ranges from 12cwt for the J-2500 model to 31 cwt for the J-4800 model.

The chassis layout is simple and conventional but is very sturdily built. The front-mounted engine drives through a fully synchromesh threeor four-speed manual or turbo-hydrarnatic transmission to a two-speed transfer case which is mounted immediately behind. Drive is taken to the driving axles which are carried on long semi-elliptical springs. Front and rear axles are fitted with hydraulic dampers. Power steering is also fitted as standard.

The other three exhibits are more jeep-like Jeeps and these are the models CJ-5 and CJ-6. The CJ-5 has an 84in. wheelbase and can have either a 100 or 110 bhp six-cylinder engine or a 150 bhp V8 engine; the CJ-6 has a 104in, wheelbase and the same engine options. A variety of body work is available on the basic two-seater chassis. Both models are available in open body, convertible top, full metal cab or half metal cab. These latest models have a three-speed floor gearchange and an increased capacity clutch, now 10.5in „ and a redesigned transfer case for quieter operations. Tank capacity has also been increased from 10.5 to 16.5gal.
