Austin Morris introduced in August this year 7 and 10cwt van versions of the Marina car. These models which replace the Morris Minor 6 /8cwt and the Oxford /Cambridge 10cwt vans form the central feature of the stand.

The new vans are powered by one or other of the A series engines, ie the 1100 (1098 cc) or the 1300 (1275 cc). The 7cwt model is available with the 1100 or 1300 engine but the 10cwt uses only the 1300 engine. The 1100 engine produces 43 bhp at 5150 rpm and 56 lb ft torque at 2600 rpm while the 1300 engine produces 57 bhp at 5500 rpm and 68 lb ft torque at 2500 rpm. Both models use an 8in.-diameter clutch and a four-speed all synchromesh gearbox. In standard form the van provides 88 cu ft of carrying capacity and with the passenger seat removed is increased to 104ft. Load space length is slightly in excess of 6ft.

Other car-derived vans on show are 850 cc and 998 cc-engined Minivans and Austin and Morris versions of the 7cwt Marina van demonstrating the standard and de-luxe trim options.

The light commercial vehicle section is represented by models of J4 and 250 JU vans. The J4 exhibits are a 180 J4 petrol-engined pick-up and a 200 J4 diesel-engined van. The 250 JU is shown in petrol-engined van and coach form.
